Service members recognized

In honor and recognition of active duty service members stationed in Hawaii, Gov. David Ige officially proclaimed May 2018 as Hawaii Military Appreciation Month. Seven military service members were recognized for their outstanding community service during an opening ceremony May 4 at the Governor’s Office, Hawaii State Capitol. Among the recipients was Quartermaster 2nd Class Christopher Jurado who is assigned to Navy Region Hawaii.
