On Nov. 11, the U.S. Navy partnered with the U.S. World War I Centennial Commission in remembrance of those who served in World War I. The Bells of Peace is a national event to honor the 116,516 Americans who died and more than 200,000 who were wounded in the Great War. Operations Specialist Seaman Juan Peña struck the bell aboard the USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53).
