Construction of the last new homes planned for Hickam Communities is underway.

From October through December, 98 homes will be constructed, marking the completion of Onizuka Village and the end of new home construction. “Onizuka is a special neighborhood to wrap-up construction at our Air Force project,” said Jerry Schmitz, project director of Hickam Communities. “It will be the first Air Force neighborhood to have all its homes – 304 of them – LEED Certified Silver.”

While new home construction is wrapping up, renovations on 285 historic homes are starting. The first renovations were completed last month. When Hickam Communities development scope comes to an end in 2013, more than 600 historic homes will have been renovated.
