Staff Sgt. Tyesha Staton, a client support technician (CST) with the 647th Air Base Group (ABG), is this week’s Warrior of the Week.

A Lancaster, S.C native, Staton has been at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH) for five months and said that she enjoys hiking, hanging out with friends and playing pool in her time off.

“I enjoy troubleshooting computer problems and meeting new people,” said the staff sergeant, who provides CST support for the emergency operations center (EOC) at JBPHH and 647th ABG staff. She also reserves classrooms for training, and is her section’s training monitor.

The thing she likes most about being stationed in Hawaii is the weather.

“Sergeant Staton is a true Air Force professional,” said Master Sgt. Christopher Purington, 647th ABG superintendent of the knowledge operations cell. “When given a task to do, she always makes that the number-one priority and gets the job done. She is highly proficient in conducting her CST duties. She supported JBPHH EOC during the Dec. 7 ceremonies and also during the recent earthquake and tsunami which struck Japan.”
